Ellora Cave Aurang, one of the ruins of the largest monastery in the world, is located 30 km (20 miles) west of Aurangabad, near the village of Ellora in India. The complex was built by Buddhists, Hindus and Jains between the 6th and 10th centuries. There are 12 Buddhist caves, 17 Hindu caves, and 5 Jain caves. The fact that this group was very close and that the structures were often built at the same time is evidence of the religious harmony that existed in Indian history at that time. Cave 10 The oldest Buddhist cave. All these caves except Cave 10 are monasteries used for activities like eating, sleeping, and meditating. As I went north of the cave, my cave became bigger. For example, Cave 1 is very simple, has many statues and 8 small prison cells, while Cave 11 has 3 floors and a large hall. The walls of the chambers of the temple represent the five Bodhisattvas (Buddhas who still exist on the earth) and the seven previous incarnations of the Buddha.

In contrast to the former quiet Buddhist caves, reliefs have been placed on the walls of Hindu caves dedicated to Lord Shiva. The relief depicts various events in Hindu scriptures. The builders converted Cave 14 from a Buddhist monastery to a Hindu temple. Beautiful frost adorns the walls, and the furnaces adorn the goddess of childbirth and youth. At first, the cave looks like 15 complexes, but upstairs there are some beautiful statues of Ellora.
